Loving a broken heart
Is loving a heart of sorrow:
It’s a life fallen apart
With no hope for tomorrow.
Loving a broken heart,
Is following a wandering lonely soul
Down a dark and narrow path
With nowhere else to go.
Take my hand; I’ll lead you through the thickets and the thorns
That scratch and tear at the place in you most worn.
Loving a healing heart
Feels like running a race you might lose,
But you've already passed the start-
Now you just have to make it through.
Loving a healing heart
Is holding a hand tight,
But giving them room
To piece themselves together inside.
Loving a heart no longer broken but still not fully whole, is loving
A growing heart that’s filled with hope, and stronger than it knows.
