And for many of us those stories are
From the Bible,
From the Quran,
From the Tipitaka,
From the Dao De Jing,
From the Talmud,
From the Guru Granth Sahib,
From the Veda.
These stories, each a true account in their own right,
Teach us the struggles of life,
The hope we can find in a higher power,
The way to live well.
Everyone worships in their own way,
And for some, they value the tradition of
Sharing stories by mouth:
The Odyssey,
The Iliad,
Gilgamesh,
And there are those who choose not to worship;
These people should be equally respected.
Just because they do not believe in a higher power
Does not give anyone the right to
Belittle them,
Look down on them,
Criticize them.
There is no moral superiority.
It is okay to disagree with others
But it will never be okay
To physically,
Mentally,
Or Emotionally
Harm others
To prove a point.
